The traveling Scarf Project is brand new, and I wanted to take some time to explain the project with all of you. Here's how the fun works: Each person gets to hang out and enjoy the scarf for one day, take a picture of themselves wearing the scarf, and then pass the scarf along to the next lucky person.
Why I wanted to do this project:
I've been reflecting a lot on the message and mission of the work that I create. When I look at work of art or listen to a piece of music that deeply touches me, I want to carry it with me. Wrap up in it's beauty. And that is the goal of my work, I want each scarf to bring joy, honesty and comfort to the people that meet them. Everyone has a hard load to carry, and I want the brightness and lightness of the scarves to lighten the load. That's part of the reason that I"m so excited about the traveling scarf project, it's a great gift of joy traveling in and out of people's lives when they least expect it.
There are currently 4 traveling scarves out in the world:
1. Started in ETown and was last seen in Littiz
2. Is on it's way to Belize
3. Traveling to Philly and then SF
4. On it's way to Houston
Be Sure to check in for updates, and let me know if you spot one of the traveling scarves.
