I've been running all over the place over the last week, and haven't had a lot of time to take photos and work on the blog. So I hope that you enjoy, and are inspired by this fun collection of textiles from muuse.com

Above and below by Mary Patton:

I have always had a great fascination for metal and my attraction grew even more after recently taking a sculpture class and learning how to weld. Steel Toed combines monochromatic knits, leather, and wool to create a vision representing the trade of welding and the versatility of steel. The interlacing of knitted tubes merged with the unconventional use
of football shoulder pads allows volume and texture to form steroidal-like knits. A muted madness is brought to monochromes and when fused with streamlined basics it creates a story of sculpture and structure; bringing strength, masculinity, and fearlessness to the female wearer.

SQUARE ONE: THE MIRACLE OF THE SPACE AGE
BY HELLEN VAN REES
FROM CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS
CONVERSATION
A sustainable and sculptural collection inspired by the tweed fabrics used by Chanel, the straight silhouette of 1920's flapper girls and art installations by Anish Kapoor and Rachel Whitebread. The textiles are completely handmade from recycled yarns and the three-dimensional details are woven one by one directly in the shape of the garment. This technique
makes the woven cubes completely seamless. The entire collection is made by materials from remnants.
