Mixed Media: Cotton Yarn, wire, felt I am interested in creating both functional pieces as well as wearable art. I created the scarf following the same technique used to create my flair scarves. By mixing roving, unspun wool, and silk I created the fleted white balls growing out of the scarf, the felt pieces are attached to wire that was woven into the scarf during the inital weaving process. The materials are closely connected as the yarn used to weave the scarf is made by spinning and processing the fibers used to create the white pods. Pin It
